A sweet fellow who lives here in the area was inspired to write a poem for me recently. He is a talented poet, and naturally I was extremely moved by his offering. It definitely belongs here as part of my blog to be shared with others besides just Peg and myself.
Thank you Mokasiya.
Blessed with grace
do you still love me now
i heard the birds singing
well before morning sunlight
This is a very interesting part. It reminds me of an Emily Dickinson poem that mentions bird songs before dawn. But on birds singing her poem that stands out for me is this one…
Upon his Saddle sprung a Bird
And crossed a thousand Trees
Before a Fence without a Fare
His Fantasy did please
And then he lifted up his Throat
And squandered such a Note
A Universe that overheard
Is stricken by it yet —
Sorry to keep tormenting you with poetry, but being struck down by a bird song is important stuff.
Thank you Rick for sharing this very artful and heart-full expression of Mokasiya’s.
Yes, we might all see ourselves in your photographs, as I see myself in the opening red rose that graces my bedroom wall, with perhaps a little guidance and willingness to slow down, look around, look within, and feel what we feel.
Thank you Moka, so very beautiful.
Love to All,
Rebecca
Wonder-ful imagery, Mokasiya. You’ve captured not only the joy, comfort and art of the solitary nature photographer, but the heart of the man, Rick.
Thank you for this.
Beautiful! Thank you for sharing it with us.
my heart again is touched,
this cup runnith over,
blessings all,
moka
Absolutely brilliant….Moka, you are a genius of the heart….
Love, David
Thank you for allowing me to read this beautiful poem.

Thank you for sharing these beautiful words of Mokasiya. They match your exquisite photographs, Rick, and your transparent soulful expression. “This life could use a good cleanse.” “Is it true sitting here long enough the clouds will speak again?” I could quote the whole poem back to you. But what would be the point–just to say, yes, yes, yes! “Please, once again, touch these hands.”
